sure, go for it! It's really not that bad of a job at all. It's a great power gain for the $$, and another plus: You're able now to get rid of all those damn vaccuum lines. WOOHHOOO! Anyway, there's really two common options for carbs.

1st, and really simple is a Weber 32/36. This really doesn't entail too much work. Just removing the stock airbox, carb, and 90% of the vaccuum lines, and buying an adapter and slapping that new carb on. Many here have this mod.

2nd, much more involved, and more expensive, but also yields much more initial hp, and potential with future upgrades. That's the Dual DCOE's (40 or 45). If you go this route, that means getting a custom made manifold for starters. Then getting those carbs which are not a dime a dozen. Then all the headache and heartache involved in putting it all together. But if you talk to Site or Phydeaux (both have done this conversion) they'll tell you it's well worth the hassle.

There's a good amount of people here that have already done this conversion, so even if there's noone that can go there in person to help with the install, there's plenty of people here with pics, and i'm sure that you would be able to accomplish this yourself with patience, time, and some serious Q&A. I'm gonna have to do this as soon as my DCOE's come in and I start my conversion. Good luck man!

what about the 38 conversion? its a crazy one, but it gives yu more power if thats what your looking for, and more torque, but you get less down force. I think you should go for th 32/36, thats waht im gonna try and do.

I'm going for the 32/36 Also. I have a bit of research to do, and saving, but I think I can run with the faster cars with a few upgrades.
