okay im pissed off someone help.

for the past 3 or 4 weeks my car has been stalling and idoling very rough. the first thing i can think of is my PCV valve being worn. so i get under the hood to take a look. i go to pull the valve out and it comes right out with no effort. this is unusual because normally it takes alot of effort to get a PCV out. so i go buy a new valve thinking nothing of it and i cant get the new one in there. i can push it in but it just pops right back out. is there some kind of rubber grommet that is supposed to hold it in there or something??? ive looked at the pic on the FAQ forum and i cant see anything holding it from the top. the stalling and roughness is still there (although i now think it may be a fuel problem). any suggestions would be appreciated

there shouldnt be anything i the way. Try pokin a screw driver down there and seeing whats in the way. But about the valve comin out with no effort; Thats weird and aint right. I belive that if it was that loose, air was escaping and that could have been the reason why u were stalling and ideling so rouhg. I dont know what to tell you besides that.
If it is a fuel problem, then try changing fuel, like go to a better brand of fuel, i really dont know what to tell ya.
Lets see what the other guys have to say.......

    Good luck

i think you just hav to adjust the rev limits up a little, that happened to mine and i went to the nmechanic and he got under the hood and theres a litte screw (on the injector i think) that he turned with a screw driver and the engine started reving back up to normal, now it aint stalling ar anything.
    Try that.
Another thing i would suggest is, a CRYPTON TUNE, it sorts ou all th engine fully, and anythng thats wrong it tells u, includding any piepes that are bloced aswell, its really good, it checks everything in the engine. i had it done too. it cost me £15 and took bout 1 hour.
    Hope that helps

did you get an OEM PCV valve or an after market ! i agree with Neuspeed007 that the old one was releasing air which caused bad idling ( just like a vacuum leak )

wait so that IS the idle adjustment screw on top of the intake manifold? this motherfucker that works for honda that my mom knows told me thats not what it is, and not to fuck with it(even though it said that was it in the honda book i got). So thinkin he knew best i went and turned it back all the way (i forget which way) but now it idles at like 1500 rpms and i thought it was a vaccum leak. so its cool to adjust that screw? that guy is gay but hes cool he fixed 3 mounts on my crx for 140 bucks.

the idle screw is toward the back of the carb almost by the firewall. i turned mine down to where it is about 800 in gear so i think it needs to be turned up.
