    Juggalo88Accord's 86 lxi Project

    What's good 3geez it's been along time since I been on the site I see a lot of the regulars are still here. So I still have my 88 lx it has been sitting at my grandparents house for the last few years I have had no plans to rebuild it or to attempt to get it back on the road because issues with the title being in other people's names. My in laws bought me a car last week to help out since we just found out my wife is pregnant and when I went to pick it up it just happened to be a 86 lxi 4 door. I'm very happy to be back in a 3gee I've missed mine so much. So the New car is a automatic with 139k miles on it. I'll get up some pics as soon as possible. There is a lot of work to be done on it and I plan on moving my old 88 out onto the property in the next few weeks to use as a parts car. I'll get up some pics this weekend with a list of parts I'm going to be ordering

    This Friday I will be getting triple a and towing the 88 out. I'm going to be using most of the Interior from that also I have some alpine speakers and magnaflow muffler I plan on pulling out and sticking in this 86 as soon as possible. I'll post more pics and parts list in a day or two

    Yes I'm very happy about the mileage my 88 had 290k and other than the carb it ran perfectly.

    Happy 420 everyone I just ordered some parts for the lxi here we go.

    Brake pads,Rotors,rear shoes and springs, spark plugs wires cap rotor, fuel filter , All belts, valve cover gasket, and the tempature sensor at the bottom of the radiator this thing overheats a bit.
    So next weekend I should be doing all that work and towing the 88 out for interior speakers and muffler.


    Also the 88 has a Manuel transmission I would like to put to use

    Does anyone know where to get the 3geez stickers. I got a couple a few years back at the Seattle meet. They are still on the 88 so if I have to use the corner glass to keep the stickers I will but if I can pick up a couple new ones that would be prefered

    So I replaced the belts and headlights today it turned out being a little more work than I thought. The driver side low beam is out and after replacing the light it still did not work. A quick search on 3geez and I found I may have a split in the low beam wire so I dug in a little deeper and found this. Got it all rewired and working now thanks to 3geez.

    Just finished up replacing fuel filter cap and rotor spark plug wires and e3 plugs car feels a lot better the brakes are gonna have to wait till next weekend

    Thanks for the support it helps keep me motivated. So did the brakes no more pulsating or squealing however while on a cruise enjoying the work I was pushing the car pretty hard got on the brakes real hard at about 80 they slowed me to about 60 then gave out completely after getting the car back home it appears the front driver brake line popped.
    Today I will be ordering a set of all 4 braided lines
