New Owner: 1980 Accord 4 Door

So... I just purchased this minty fresh 1st gen from my next door neighbor. Who also happens to be the original owner. 80k miles on it, almost zero rust. Had it checked out by the local mechanic, and outside of a couple of leaks in the radiator, it came back with a nice bill of health. It needs almost nothing except it's missing one of it's wheel trim rings and the rear right door molding is slightly busted.

I'm excited to own such a fun little car!

Wow dude! Glad to see you made it to the forum!

I was watching that thing on Craigslist for like a week. When I finally decided I should pull the trigger, it was gone! I should have jumped on that thing sooner!

Congrats on the purchase, and glad it's going to a good home! They were selling it for so dirt cheap, I was worried someone might buy it and thrash it.

<chuckles> He'd been trying to sell it on and off for a year. I'd always been interested, but didn't really have the garage space. It needs a few things and he's just downsizing and doesn't want to take care of it anymore. Like you though, I didn't want to see it go somewhere where it'd be thrashed.

How's your Accord doing? Any issues yet? Again, it looks awesome. I would love to find one like that someday. You did good.
