Headlight failure

I have been having troubles with my headlights just turning off by themselves while im going 80 or whatever. I have to turn the brights on and then i have to hold in the switch for 3 seconds before i can get my low beams to turn back on. People bright me and honk their horn at me, so i really need to know what the hell is causing this.

Maybe a connecrtion is loose... check the ground wires.
