    OEM brake lines discontinued

ive been working on my back brakes (drum style) on my 88 lxi and both of the steel lines that connect to the wheel cylinders were irrepairably damaged and the parts have been discontinued. i was wondering if you are able to use brake hoses instead of the solid steel lines back there or if that is a bad idea. and where is a good place to shop for them?

You can make your own with a line bender tool and new fittings.

They sell those at car parts store.

I do not know what size the rear brake lines are but heres what you will need:

    Tube Bending Pliers
    Double Tube Flaring Tool Kit

and some stock flat brake line and a bag of fittings. Now of course you dont need to use harbor fright but i gave those links as a suggestion.
