    86 HONDA accord LXi

Just joined this forum...I have a a 86 lxi hatch that my dad handed to me after my 92 accord sedan was in an accident earlier this year. Car has 330k miles and still runs great, just your basic maintenance.

Looking to hand it to my 15yr old son as his first car. Looking to get some pointers as to what the best engine swaps are available for this body. Going to do a father and son project.

Take out old warn out A20/slap in new A20 long block. Easiest, cheapest and for me about the only swap I'll have enough $$$ for. Their some mounts that you can get that lets you put in the B series. I believe the JDM B20A is a almost bolt in swap yet not sure. Bottom line is if it's not an Old A20 to new A20 swap, it takes lots of $$$$ and a whole lot of time. Welcome to the board, a picture of the 3g would be nice

My headlights stayed up all the time also until I learned about the switch on the dash pushed it and they went down, easiest fix I've ever done
