    (General) Performance

    Hello,

I've gone through a few minimal maintenance fixes on my new car ('86 LX-i) and now that it's more sound/drive able I've gotten to testing how it does when driven hard. Normal operation is fine, but when you hammer on it there is a noticeable decrease in power around 4500-4800 RPM and onward until it's time to shift. Periodically, the PGM-FI light will come on during normal driving. Not sure what's up here, any ideas?

first things first is to see what code its throwing. the ecu is under the drivers seat and you can see what part is malfunctioning. could be a lot of things but first fix what the car tells you to.
