I have my perch on the koni upside down to allow the coilover sleeve perches to adjust to the maximum down position.
I mounted mine the same as in that pic. I would NEVER do them any other way.
i think thats the way they are supposed to go. My tokicos came that way and my stock ones were like that.

thats how i mounted mine as well!
Hey Steve, I just thought of something. ...maybe that's why my car is as low as it is?... ...do you remeber which way we put those perches on front and back? hmmm.....Originally posted by 88LXi68

thats the way they are supposed to go. I guess if you put them the other way it would be higher but it is supposed to be this way.

I was thinking that to cause i did mine upside down as well. But the H&R springs are supposed to be 1.5 drop i think and mine seems lower than that? I remeber the pertch has a lip to lock the ring in place but done remember if it was on both sides or just one so check for the lip cause i beleive its meant to lock the ring clip it place when the pertch is placed over it.
Rob is you did yours like the pic above, you installed yours correctly.Originally posted by RobT5580

The rears have a second spot for you to move the spring perch to, the fronts do not.
Thanks for the pic doug. I put the perch upside down, hence the 4x4 wheel gap in my other thread.
For those who want to raise their front suspension for whatever reasons, this is the solution (turn the perch upside down)
I did mine just like the picture and the rears were set but the 2nd spot is a bit higher. I was thinking of putting the back up a bit cause the back is about 1 finger gap but the front is much higher. But im gonna find a shorter spring for the front to fix the gap. Not much i can do with all the weight in my trunk.
What site can i go to to get some Koni's
TYRONE
shox.com should be the cheapest with free shipping
I have been thinking about geting shocks but I don't know what's good. I don't know crap about suspension (mainly just performance)
How much are Konis? I heard that you don't want all 4 you want to have different fronts or backs. Or something like that.
No, getting all four would be a great improvement. It's just that some people can't afford all four so it's cheaper to get the Koni's up front and whatever in the back(try to stick to Bilstein or Toxico).
2.25 Sprint drop w/ Bilstien struts in rear & Koni's in the front, moddified 94-97 Accord CAI, JDM power folding mirrors, Prelude A arms, Naxos exhaust, K&N Filter, Accel coil, Advanced timing, NGK-R plugs, 7.5mm wires, Apc H4 headlight conversion, PIAA hyper plasma bulbs every where, 17" Exel Maj rims wrapped in 205/40 17 Kumho tires, w/ 5% platinum tint, painted calipers & drums, shaved tail lights, moldings, antana, squirters, and emblems, Clarion DRB3675 head unit w/ Clarion 6x9s
How much are they? I don't want to spend a lot in suspension.
If your never going to lower your car I have NO reason to tell you to send the money on Koni's. However If you plan to, I have every reason to tell you to. www.shox.com has the Koni's for the front for $212 or all 4 for $424.Originally posted by Mike's89AccordLX

Well right now I don't plan on lowering it but that could change in a few years. I have stock suspension right now. Do you suggest I get better shocks for me or just stick with stock? (when I say better I mean something less than konis, b/c I wouldn't need them if I don't lower it.)
You could buy the Koni's now to prepair you for the future. Of you could just get Tokico's for now $235 if your current struts are shot. Then when you want to lower the car, get a pair of front Koni's or all 4.Originally posted by Mike's89AccordLX

what would be some symtoms of them being shot?
Walk out to your car and shove down as hard as you can with your foot on the the front and then rear bumper. IF the car simply come's up and does not bounce, not even once your ok. Kind of ironic that the same signs for warn struts are the same one's for using too weak struts on stiffer lowering springs. Bounce, to much movement of the suspension over nasty ruf pavement, back end dipping when your on and off the gas for shifts, excess brake dive during cornering, deminished responce when the steering wheel is flicked in one direction, ect.Originally posted by Mike's89AccordLX

H&R springs revalved Bilstein front struts, koni struts in the rear 195/55-15 Dunlop W-10's Dc Sports header custom cat-back with Dynomax super turbo w/3" Brembo slotted & dimpled rotor's EBC pads
Well, that's what I used to have, wrecked, 7/3/02.
Now I d
Well when I shift the car moves a little bit and I have noticed when I brake it kinda leans forward.
A certain amount is normal. Do the bumper shove test.Originally posted by Mike's89AccordLX
