86-89 accord steering arm

son smacked the ever loving sh*t out of a curb in the 87 hatchback, and now even after replacing the lower control arm with was bent to smithereens, we still have gobs of positive camber. So I figure since the rim got bent and the lower arm got bent then everything in between has to be damaged. All of the pull a parts in a 200 mile radius of me DO NOT HAVE any 3 GEEZ!!!

how did this happen!! it is not a good sign for us finding parts for our cars...
I need a good drivers side steering arm, yep the one not available aftermarket, arm with spindle and lower ball joint and hub and bearing assembly, probably the shock fork too.

Anybody parting out a car?

It's funny. Somebody put a power window tailgate on my '89 Suburban to replace a manual crank one. I prefer the manual crank, so I went to the junkyard looking for parts. I found nothing, of course. It's a fairly rare truck now with an even rarer option package. Fortunately, I can go online and buy all the parts I need for a manual crank system, brand-spanking new, courtesy of the aftermarket. I can buy every part for every square body truck ever made and a million different upgrade options too. If I blow the engine, there are 7 billion different crate engine options to replace it with. Ditto the transmission, axles, body panels, interior plastics, etc. etc. etc. It's just so easy. My Bimmer was much the same way. When it comes to my beloved Honda though, it's a parts famine. How does a carmaker preserve such a dearth of parts???? Every time I go to the Honda dealership to buy a part, I complain to them about parts availability. Each time, they tell me to pound sand. The joke's on them though. The car is down because I can't find a prop valve that works. So they won't ever see another dime from me until I find a way to retrofit something in there. Given the length of my project list, that should be some time in late 2065. Honda's utter contempt for consumers is how company's kill themselves.

We're at a time in history where people are getting poorer. They are going to want their cars to run longer and be simpler to maintain. Every idiot can see this but the automakers. They're busy cramming cars with useless blinking crap, inscrutable electronics, spy tracker boxes, 50,000 airbags, 19 cupholders in a 7 passenger minivan and so forth. Now, they are even enforcing copyright and contractual provisions to prevent you from working on your own car!!! I wish this kind of myopia was confined to the automakers, but everywhere I look, I see companies on the wrong side of history, committing suicide. It's like they are actively driving away sales. When you look at the metrics, most of them are, in fact. I don't understand how the business world decided that a good business model is to sell crap, market heavily and throw lawyers at people when they complain. Somehow, these MBAs have managed to know less about business than the guy pedaling his ice cream bicycle down your street. Now I'm watching the whole world fall apart and all I can think is, "you didn't really think it would work out well when you decided that being immoral was a good strategy, did you?"

You didn't realize how much my rear window has to do with the state of the world, but there you go.

do you mean you need the entire knuckle assembly with the hub etc? what side? I have the extra ones out of my 86 in the garage somewhere, you might have to put a bearing and ball joint on it, but they are there, also pick and pull Tallahassee had a couple of 86-87 I think not too long ago

Oh shoot I didn't know only some of the steering parts aren't replaceable. and sucks about the junk yards - No way? I might need to find a couple things myself to store away.

The steering knuckles are not known to go bad unless you really smash up a car so you didnt see after market ones.
