    flywheel question

okay my friends was thinking of getting a new flywheel and had a question, he drives like 300 mile's to school and does a lot of highway travel and wants more top end, so does he get a heavier flywheel? he would loose torque but gain top end right?... it would take longer to get up to speed but then it would have more momentum once he got up to speed? or does it really even make much of a diffrence?

A heavier flywheel will make it seem that the motor has more low end torque (harder to stall). Heavier flywheels are usually used by 4x4 rock crawlers and trucks doing heavy towing. Its not going to efect the top speed. It will e more slugish and it will have more momentum. Its not going to give any advantage on the highway. And since noone makes one it'll have to be a custom job.

Does Fidanza offer one for the A20A or is only for the B20A?

Site had said that he talked to fidanza and that they had them for the a20, but they are not listed on the website. This is the only one listing for one I have seen http://www.nipponpower.com/drivetrai...pec_honda.html for the a20 other then aasco who used to make one and will dig out the designs to custom make one.

Remember these are both lighter flywheels, he was wondering about a heavier one.
