Why The Hell Wont Any Of My Images Ever Work!!!!!

everytime i try to post a pic it never works.... i try donig the [img][/img] thing and it doesnt work...

i was trying to post this:

[img] www.geocities.com/silverado99_01/side.html [/img]

without the spaces of course.... and it WON't work!!!
you guys keep saying to put the URL inbetween that... and it wont work for me...
can someone help me out here? thanks

Images are in .jpg, .bmp, .tiff format (just to name a few), not .html format. Hyper text markup language is used for making webpages and other internet stuff. You have to link to each image directly, not the whole webpage. You can't link from geocities anyways, without renaming the images to .txt format instead of .jpg or whatever they are

Go into your file manager, check the box for that file, then click 'rename'. Rename it to hondaside.txt (or whatever name you want, as long as you include the .txt at the end). Then do what you were doing above

And your new link will look like this
[IMG] http://www.geocities.com/silverado99_01/hondaside.txt [/IMG]

the *.txt dealy works though i've seen it done, right clicked the pick looked at the link and everything it works just fine...
