    swap

    ok i have a 86 lxi and a 86 lx the lxi is smashed up so i want to take the whole engine and tranny and put it in the lx what will i all need from the lxi and do i need to buy anything further then what i already have do i need to change the gas tank ect,Sorry i know there hav been a lot of threads about this but cant saam to find what i need.The tranny and engine are about to go in the lx so iam going to have to do it soon
    Stop bench racing and pick up a wrench

    You can just put the engine in there and slam your carb on it..... or you can do the EFI conversion.... (check the How-to Section)

    ther is no 411 in the how- to section but i dont need to change the wireing harness or anything.I want to keep the efi on the lxi engine though.
