    Flip up delete

This is a 3rd gen Lude with custom headlights. I think this looks really good but it's too bad there are no pics with the hood down and lights off. But it's something I would like to try. As much as the flip ups make the 3rd gen what it is, this is the first time I've seen a conversion I've actually sort of liked.

Come to think of it, it probably wouldn't look as good on a 3rd gen Accord because we have sidemarkers and the grill so the pattern on the eye lids would look missing if we did it.....

Maybe you could shave the sidemarkers and modify the grill?

i think that looks pretty good.... alot better than the "stock" accords without flipups...

its on par with the lude conversion, because i love the style of these lights! but i think the lude lights actually work better with the 3G! nice find, those are getting saved!

I like it! Thanks Yasu. I think that looks great, and yeah like site said, maybe you could just shave the grill a little, and shave the corner markers. Kinda like what integraccord did on his car.

I was just gonna say they look like nissan housings. It looks like a good fit and not bad. I think it looks good myself and it would be similar on an accord but i dont know if the slope of the hood is the same on our cars but they can trim it to fit. If you did do it though i would suggest shaving the grill or working on that.

You only would need a welder for the fenders and hood. The headlight bezel itself is probably fiberglass or a type of plastic. I would think that this can be done fairly easily with the exception of the hood/fenders and i would say some cutting for the back of the old headlight bay to accomodate the wiring for the bulbs and stuff. I like the way that looks a lot nice and clean. I do like how the prelude lense fits the curve of the car too.

some cars with flip up headlights have those kind of conversions. take the mr2 or rx7. i remember an old issue of TURBO, that showed an rx7 with that kind of conversion.

here is an mr2 with them.

my idea in the futer was similar to that, but keeping the eyelids, but loosing the sealed beams and putting projectors in there, single or even twin. Its gonna be just the lid and everything is gonna go, like the brackets and everything that is needed to hold down the weight of the sealed beams. So in reality, just the lids would go up and down, but the lights would stay stationary in side them. I dont know how to do it as of yet, but sure i will find a way out.
