Hey hey y'all. I just bought an 89 SE-i for 200 bucks. I'll post pics in a few days but I have a question...
If my car is an 89 automatic carbed LX then do I need an 89 manual carbed LX ECU? The SE-i is EFI but I figured the automatic ECU would work with the new manual tranny. I mean, what does the ECU monitor/control on the tranny? I could live with a check engine light on or whatever. Get at me.
Carb got no ECU.
What are you planning on doing?
Which engine is going into which car?

well... the se-i that i bought has a really bad engine knock so I'm taking out the fuel system, the tranny, and the brakes to put on my lx. Right now I'm just working on the tranny because I needed it to get around (my auto died). So I shouldn't have ANY problems with a computer?
