Searching for answers to lowering my 81 Accord

Just recently traded my 88 chevy blazer for an 81 Honda Accord, only had this thing for 2 weeks and loving it. it has 67,XXX Original miles. Ive had to replace the starter and clutch slave cylinder. i see that as nothing though , the car is old and needs some love and parts tending to. somehow I've already managed to catch a good deal on some wheels, waiting for tires now. but heres the problem, I'm very interested in lowering it. but no matter where i search (ebay, amazon, hondaparts sites) i can't find any legit coilovers or lowering springs. so came here to get some advice and info on what i could do !

Re: Searching for answers to lowering my 81 Accord

    Congratulations upon finding 4x120 wheels.
I fitted the slightly dubious front struts from my green '78 Accord project, which were obviously cut 3/4 of a coil, having 4 3/4 coils instead of 5 1/2 of my other Accord, on aftermarket shock absorbers. But could use some something additional to locate the spring better.

I think they lowered the frt 40mm, & I have no complaints about the ride or handling.
Shortening the springs increases their stiffness to compensate for the lower height but you don't want to go overboard with springs the shock absorbers cannot control & replacing tired shock absorbers would be a good idea as Accords were pretty soft.

PDXAccord79's with 1 coil removed from all corners & Koni Shock inserts.

Should think any spring specialists should be familiar with the problems & may also be able to get the springs properly reset (heat & controlled cooling) to go lower without stiffening the springs too much.

luckily , the previous owner of my accord , did a 4x100 conversion so finding wheels is no hassle at all. just so happened to find a good deal on some. i found a set of shorter lowering springs from a sight called king springs but 375 for a set don't sound to exciting right now, may have to wait a lil bit.

King springs, if its the company i'm thinking about , make a very good spring.
They have been doing it for years and is what i have in my ca3 .
