    axel

i made a new axel for my be 20a

when i got my engine it had the shaft with the carrier bearing so I needed to make a new shaft to replace the long one on the left side I got licky and found out you can use a right side axel and join them together and its the rite length .

    Looking good.
I measured the original B20a axels (driveshafts) from my parts car and they were both the same as the shorter driveshaft from the A20a so that will work fine.

im going to ask a question for bolink. he got a prelude speedometer today for his b20. does this work correctly with the b20. his didnt come with one. and did anyone hookup there A/C to there b20. is so was it hard or did you have to fabricate something for it.

Speedometer as in the part that goes into the tranny? If so, you can use the one from the A20. If you meant the actual speedo, I'm not sure. The A/C pump is different and the bracket is as well.

I used the speed sensor out of the original B20a tranny & it worked fine with the A20 speedo until I swaped in the one from the B20a. Only cos it has a higher top speed and no auto gear selector between the fuel/temp gauges.
I have a A/C compressor and all the associated pullys etc from a B20a (but its hella heavy).

For the A/C you should be able to get away with modifing or making a new bracket and then finding the right size belt. This should work fine using the A20 a/c compressor becuse the car has the A20 lines still so you wont have to mess with any of that unless the position is way off from the old one.
