Another lip that will probably work on the 3rd gen

I forgot to post this a while back but I picked up a new '03 Mach 1 lip for my Mustang a few months ago. I took several measurements and compared the curve to our 3rd gen Accord bumper and I think this will fit without much modification. If anything, it will be too long so you will need to cut a bit off the ends and also heat it or make a few relief cuts (on the part that meets up to the buttom of the bumper, won't be visible) to help it curve easier. It costs $47US here or you can take this price to the local Ford dealer and try to get them to match it and save on shipping. It's not a bad price for a brand new lip and it won't be covered in scratches and you don't need to buy stuff to modify it except for a few tap screws to mount it. It flares out like the CRX and it's pretty big so it should look good. It sort of becomes shorter (height wise) as it goes towards the wheel wells so I don't know how that will affect appearance on the Accord. But someone should give it a try. Here's a pic I had in my HD which I took at night (condensation all over the car....).

I also hate stangs but that lip looks pretty tight. Let me know if someone trys to put it on. And what modification it took to fit good.

I am SO doing that when I get a little more money! I was looking into CRX lips, but you have to jump through so many hoops to get one...

That looks like it could be very nice looking.

Please post pics if you do do it. BTW, I wasn't really asking for an opinion of the car, just wanted to let you know what the lip looks like LOL.

Post pics when it's done. I hear you about the CRX lips. I can't find any anywhere. Oh and YK86 this isn't about the lip but do you know how much you have to adjust your valves with the wild tri-flo cam regrind?

Back to stock, I would assume. I've done it once since I put Yasu's cam in. As to the wild side of it, *shrug*

What's the *shrug* mean? Did you get the mild grind and want the wild grind ?

I always ask Geoff what the reccomened clearance specs are for that cam since. Most of the time, it's stock. As for his "shrug", I think he just means he doesn't know.

I assume you're talking about that 'Stang lip? If so, then I don't beleive it's been done yet. I know I still have not taken the time to get one, and try to fit it, but there are a ton of other options. If you search around, you'll see a few threads where others have posted their custom lips, and there's a few still floating with then Volvo and Mazda626 one's that I've done.
