Its possible that the a/f screw has a plastic cap over it??
Because i cant turn mine.
I have a another carburator on my garage the same year of mine and the same model but on this one i can turn very easly the screw.

it's really a bitch to turn it anyway !
you need a small screw diver because a big one may not ebter all the way !

if you are talking about air-fuel mixture screw there is a metal cap on it.
but if are talking about idle screw you should be able to turn in with your fingers.

Yes i am talking about the a/f screw. On a old carb its was very easy to turn but on mine impossible.
I tryit with a small screw driver.
