    valve cover change

My 89 lx carbed has an ugly valve cover. I have seen so many that are nice and have the lines in them. I also heard that mine is steel and the ones i like are the aluminum ones, is that true and from what cars would that one come off of to fit my head?

I got one off an 87 LX and I stripped and painted it and put it on. (I liked the style a lot better than the 89 LX)

I got a deal where I gave him $20 and I took all I could carry. I got a bunch more stuff too. I liked the 87 LX cover better b/c the honda emblem isn't a sticker like on the 89s, it's a screw on emblem. I would say $20 and under for the valvecover. And if they aren't around get some free stuff too.

Any gen2 prelude, 12v gen2 accord, or gen3 accord will work. Take a look at the cover and see where the breather port it. Its diferent between the carbs and the efis.

But can you still interchange from LX-i to LX? I don't see why you couldn't interchange them. I have a breather filter on my V.C. so it really wouldn't matter.

I'm not sure I understand you. I have a little K&N breather filter on the V.C. check A20A1's website for pics. He's got a Matrix breather filter on his V.C.

The fi and has it on left and the carb has it on the right. If you put a lxi valve cover on an lx the breather hose wont reach and will have to be replaced, or you can put one of those filters on it.

Hmm... I might have to get an LX-i or SE-i valve cover then and sell the one I just did.

I said about $20 for one at the junk yard. Or do you want one that's already custom painted?
