    Vacuum Lines

    Question One:
So I discovered the plastic piece that a vacuum line (the one with blue tape circled in red) attaches to on my carburetor is broken.

Can I just go to the scrap yard and buy the whole unit that the this particular vacuum line attaches to? Is there an easier way to fix it? I was thinking I could use some Honda Bond to hold the line on, making sure not to block the passage when applying the Honda Bond.

    Question Two:
My car came with an aftermarket temp gauge mounted by the gear shifter. The sensor for this gauge was plugged into the thermostat housing (the two spots where the old sensors vacuum lines went into was just connected with a tube). I had to buy a new thermoses housing because I couldn't get a broken bolt out of my old one, and the new thermostat housing has a temp sensor that has the vacuum lines coming off of it. Should I use the sensor with the vacuum lines or the sensor for the aftermarket temp gauge?

Sensor for the aftermarket temp gauge:

    Sensor with the vacuum lines:

    Thanks!

    Re: Vacuum Lines

For the broken piece, the easiest is to replace it. Honda Bond wouldn't be my first choice for a glue. I'd try epoxy, but gluing plastic with epoxy is usually a 50/50 crap shoot.

Can't help with the thermostat housing. Sorry.
