So I accidentally managed to snap the wiring off of the cap (???) on the thermo unit. My thermo unit is fine, it's just the cap that actually connects to the wiring is cracked and brittle and I'm not sure how I'd be able to reconnect the wire.
If I ordered a new thermo unit would it come with the cap, or do I need to look elsewhere...? Thanks.

Also, how safe would it be to drive without this connected?
