    intake and vacuum

hey, I just installed a short arm intake and i noticed when i took off the stock air box that there were 2 vacuum lines going into it on the driver's side. I put in a T connector and a mini breather. Is this the right thing to do? one of the lines sucks a lot of air. What is it for?

truthfully you should really hook up those lines as the stock air box had them. Many people dont realize that in many engines if you put on crankcase breathers on the engine that it can cause a lean condition.

Yea I would drill holes and plug them into the intake.

the breather is not on the crankcase. it is on the vacuum lines. there are already three holes in the air intake (2 going to the black box and one to the crankcase). if i were to connect these to the intake, then i would need an extension. is this what i should do?

does it really matter how they get air? they were right behind the filter in the original air box. i dont think that they were even measuring anything.
