no it controls some various different lights and noises. im forget what lights noise etc. and no there are no performance aftermarket chips for are cars. the only thing close is a custom chip that you must get in a group buy to get. search the board for "gm ecu"
ACT Stage 1, Short Ram Intake & 2.25 Dynomax custom catback w/4inch carbon fiber tip. Thats it for now.

I believe venom makes a chip, maybe it was a piggyback to the stock ecu... Not sure but i know it was a few hundred bucks and I know nobody who uses one

It is jet chips that makes one and I believe all it does is advance the timning a couple degrees.

There is a place over here that does superchips, i went and aksed about em and it cost about £120 (pounds) and u get a 12 bhp increase. but i cant afford that at the moment so i gonna leave it.
but it dont sound too bad!

    OR

U can get it turbo'd from some other guys over here for arround £500 which seems expensive but its not bad for what ure getting.

if anybody want more info on these places then just send me a private message.

it advances the timing 2 degrees only when u put higher octane fuel in. thats what any aftermarket chip would do besides control the A/F mixture. I know Sean got the whole GM ecu thing goin on. Talk to him, he would tell you whats best for your car.

Chips are BS. Talk to Sean, like everyone else said.
