i tried to change my pcv valve today only to find out that i can't find it , the haynes manual doen't tell you where it is really, it's an 89 carb engine, if someone could please post a pic of where it is that would be great

It's in front of the air cleaner, at the bottom left of the black hose upside-down U. It's stuck into a grommet, and has to be pulled out.

If you remove the air cleaner assembly, it is behind the valve cover on the intake manifold between the 2nd and 3rd cylinders. It is attached to a U shaped hose. Be careful when you remove it, the hose could be brittle due to age and it is a dealer only part. (You shouldnt use regular vaccuum hose or gas line.) It's a pocket item at the junkyard though. \
PS. It is in a different spot on fuel injected cars before we start this debate again....
