Unhappy heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp ! ( CV joints)

after the spindle nut , filling bolt , damper fork , spider clips , dynamic damper got all the shit out of me !

now i can't put the clamps ( boot bands back on )
    well i have different clamps types ( metak ) + 1 plastic type ( i think it's called zip tie !

my question is do i need to tighten the clamps real hard and if so how can i do that ( the clamp keeps on sliding if i pull it using pilars from one side !

here are the pics of the clamps !

    pleeeeeeeeeeeeease help !

Use the metal clamps instead of the zip ties (although those work also). Put the clamp on and tighten a little on the inner side of the boot then slide it towards the outer (where you want the clamp to be). Then just tighten a little bit more and lock it. Should be alright. Maybe other ppl have different methods.

I used the aftermarket ring that require a screw to tighten and not the one that came with the boot. It will make work alot easier. Please get someone to help you pull the boot.

You need a special tool to tighten that ring so you can bend it into place. I have one laying around. All it does is take the matal and spins it around a rod intil its tight enough and ben it into place.

Let me tell you even having the proper tool to tighten the clamp with its still a pain in the butt.

A zip tie will never hold. If you need it fixed in a pinch you can use a screw type hose clamp. It doesn't have to fit in the groove of the boot as long as its holing the boot past the lip on the axle itself.
