I don't remember where this part goes and I don't have it in any pictures. It's a rubber piece. It's normally black but there's some overspray on it, hence the white color. I suspect it belongs in the front cowl / engine bay area. Do you know where?

I dont know for sure but it looks like possibly a part of the cowel just by the hood hindges. Can you take a picture of the other side and is it broken anywhere.

In the unlikely event that anyone cares, I did manage to figure out where this goes. It took a while even though I was pretty close from the beginning. It goes in front of the drain hole in each side of the tunnel underneath the front cowl. I speculate that its purpose is to cause the draining water to drain slowly without splashing around too much between the fender and the body where the wire harness is running.
