Carefull some Enkei applications only go up to 38mm, if that's the case you will be rolling the rear fender's and 205 tread width will positively be the limit.

actually, Uneek --> What are you currently running for suspension? How low are you? How low do you plan on going? And what size wheels are you looking at? 15, 16, 17?

Jim, only reason I'm asking him that is b/c if he's going with only a 15 or even 16 (mainly due to the width being at or less then 7" rather then most 17's being 7.5") and keeping with a stock height, or even only going an inch... ....if he finds a wheel that he really likes, and it's only available in 38, with a stock suspension, he should be able to get away with the offset. But ur right, if he goes 38 and goes lower then 1.5" he'll be doing a little rub-a-dub-scrubbing and really should roll the rear lips. And most def., there's no way that there can be any more then a 205 on that wheel.

    But with a 38mm 17x7.5, that's just all around a bad idea.

The height of the car doesn't matter. If it isn't lowered, it will still go through the range of motion that will cause it to hit the fender. If it doesn't rub at stock height, you can usually lower the car and not have any problems.

I know that 40mm is the usual, but... I ran a +35 mm offset 16x7.5 with a 205/40/16 for years with no problems. I never had to roll the fender and it never once rubbed. Not even on the front fender and it lowered almost four inches.
If you go with a taller or wider tire, then it will rub but the 40 series allows it to tuck up in the wheelwell no problem.

I really don't know how low i am but i lowered my car 1.75 meaning more then half then it is stock and included a front and side skirt kit so its about oh i don't know i can barely go over speed bumps but when i do, i have to go really really slow.
