    3geez Panic Mechanics

I know there are some of us on here who have done certain repairs to their car enough that they can do what seems like a near impossible task in a matter of minutes What 'difficult' jobs can you guys to really fast?

I can change a CV joint in 20 minutes and swap an oil pan and gasket in just shy of an hour.

I went to a junkyard a dismanteld an 87 accord lx's intake manifold and carb cutting only 2 wires. It took 2 hours
To install it again and get all the vacume hoses right it took me a total of 2 more hours so 4 hours to dismantle and rebuild the intake system on my 87 Accord LX

    Changed radiator in 1 hour
If it is broken then fix it. IF NOT LEAVE IT THE HELL ALONE

I was pretty fast at pulling the transmission because of a few problems i pulled it like 4 times. I dont remember the time frame but i would say its almost easier to pull the whole motor as i would say after doing steves i can do it in about an hour since we took our time.

i am also very good at changing clutches and pulling trannys, i had some bad experiences... i can basically dismantle the whole front passenger side suspension in a matter of ten minutes and have the tranny on the ground 30 minutes later...

17 minutes to gut the entire interior out of an '88 DX Hatch. (with the exception of the dash).

Just like Sabz, I did an emergency side-of-the-road axle change in 20-25 min.

5 min. to swap a full set of wheels. (thanks to the auto-x season for that one)

10 min. to replace the rear-side glass on the hatch.

Oh yeah.. ...thanks to Steve (88lxi68) and his airtools, we changed the front drivers side suspension in about 3 min. total.

I had a 4th gen accord with a bad window track. I would roll it down and it would go off track. It happened so often I could pull the door panel pull down the plastic unbolt the track reposition it and bolt it all back up in less than 6 minutes.

i'm not too shabby with any of it in terms of how long it takes to do it, but the fastest thing is body parts... i can pull them off of a car, put them all back, and align it all in about 30 minutes... not too bad... i'm also good in the interior department... took me 30 minutes one time...

I can burn a car to the ground in under a minute

I gotta remember not to smoke when I'm pulling the fuel pump....

I changed a head gasket on my accord on a 98 degree day in under 4 hours..a full hour spent trying to get the friggin exhaust pipe bolts off.

    brakes under 30 minutes

I'll let ya know how long a first time auto tranny removal will take pretty soon.

15 minutes to strip all the multifunction controlls for windshield wiper and headlights of an 87 lx in a junk yard with everything attatched from the begining. and 28 minutes for new front calipers and rotors including test and bleeding time. Without Air tools

Geez, I've never timed myself, but with a hammer, I can bust my way in and out of a lot of cars at the junkyards.

Well, I could wash my car at a carwash under 5 minutes and still get a really clean/good wash.

I would wax my and clean the windows of my car under 15 minutes and get what I call a "high quality" job. No, I'm not being sarcastic. I could make my windows come close to being "invisible."
