Track Times with A20 Swap ?

I finally got run the gen2 tonite at atco raceway in new jersey. If the guy in the white 3g that was there is on this board I passed you leaving as I was coming in. I got there a bit late, about 9:30 it ran form 5-11, so I only managed to get 2 runs. The first one was a bust. I ran a 17.38 @ 79.66. Got a 2.48 60ft with a terrible launch, and I ground the hell out of second gear (2 trys to get it in, I really need to do something about that tranny). I was kinda disappointed with that run, but the car put on a pretty nice burnout. The second run was a bit more respectable 16.71 @ 80.34. The 60ft still wasn't that great, 2.35, but the launch felt a hell of a lot better and there is only so much traction that can be had out of some old generic 175 70R13 tires. I also am haveing a problem with it getting starved for fuel once it gets going. I don't really notice it on the street cause I don't lay into it for that long. It was fine through 1st but second got so lean it started to miss at a little after 6000 (I was planning on shifting at 7200), and the same with 3rd causeing me to have to go to 4th before I crossed the line second time (probably why I turned the same mph even though I droped 6/10ths the second run). I hope with a better pump and some better tires I can go low 16's with it, maybe high 15s once I get the webers on there. Both times I got matched up against a ford f150, 2 diferent ones, and they both made me look silly by running high 13s.

The scanner is broke so I'll just type in the time slips.

    r/t : 1.527 : 1.382 I wasn't even trying for a good rt just a good launch
    60' : 2.484 : 2.357
    330 : 7.175 : 6.806
    1/8 : 11.133 : 10.615
    mph : 61.45 : 63.89
    990 : 14.447 : 13.821
    1/4 : 17.383 : 16.716
    mph : 79.66 : 80.34

Yeah, you get some good tires and work on that tranny, you can make 15's easy.
Good bye to the 1989 DX Type R. Hello 2001 LX.

your 60ft times aren't that bad considdering wut kinda tires ur running. either that or theres something seriously wrong with our launches. I've seen around 2.3-2.2 60fts on 205/50/15 street tires and 2.1s in the nitto drag radials. check out these time slips of the 86 hatch.

these aren't the best launches in the world but decent.

It makes me feel better, I still can problaby knock a 1/10th off the 60ft with a better tire. Its the trans and the fueling that gets me though. Haveing to shift it at 6000 keeps me from useing almost half of the stronger portion of my power band.
