Accord Intake Removal

Need help with intake removal on 88 accord......

Only times I ever remove the intake as I left it connected to the Head

I took a socket and ground down as much as possible to make it shorter without making it unusable, this helped get those on the passenger side...dont forget to unbolt the supports underneath th manifold. Loosen alternator and remove the adjuster bolt so th alternator just swings back 4 oclock position out of the way.

i remember that between the crowfoot wrench set and the "S-type obstruction wrench" sets from HF i was able to remove the intake. slooooowly. but a lot of that was contortions to get down in there, hence my interest in...

removing the dogbone/strut/firewall mount

if you remove the dogbone engine mount, including the mounts on the engine , and swing it out of the way i think you'll have a lot more maneuvering room.

i didnt do this the first time i took off the intake mani, but now i'm considering doing it again, and i will definitely experiment with it.
