    What is your cars height?

    Hey guys,

Doing some winter suspension work and upgrades.

My ride height, stock, measured from the ground to the top of the fender using the rim hub as the middle is 25 1/4" on the drivers and 26" on passenger side. Seems off.

Anyone else want to measure theres out side to side. I question if this is built into the suspension or not. The stock struts measure the same off the car.

    Thanks.

I remember my driver side front corner was a bit lower like yours. I forget the exact amount, but it was similar to the difference that you're seeing.

My drivers side was lower than my passenger. I know I had to go a few turns on my suspension on my drivers side to even it out. Engine weight could be a factor.

I posted about this years ago and everyone else had the same measurements. Driverside is lower by about a 1/2 inch. I dont know what the cause of it is. I was measuring when my springs were new too.

    Thanks guys.

I set it up just that way when I put the new stuff on. New stuts same length both right and left Haven,t done much other than I did lower the rear just a little to match the front.

I think if/when I get it corner balanced ill level it out.

    Still working the bugs out.

Is it to compensate for road crown? Maybe the EDM and JDM spec cars tilt the opposite direction?

ok at the 10 min, mark Dave touches on something that may relate to what the Honda guys were thinking back in the day.

    What do you guys think??

The whole video is worth watching if you have time.

Re: What is your cars height?

Are you talking about reducing the stickiness of the struts? Back when I was mountain biking, they called it "stiction" and it referred to the They made great shocks, but I never really rode anything else, so have no way to compare.

It seems to me that if you were really serious about improving handling, you'd opt for a decent suspension like a 3g double-wishbone design. The old Miatas had it too.
