How many air filters needed for CAI?

Sorry if this is a dump question but, when you make a cold air induction setup and you add a filter to the tip, can you remove your stock filter in the engine bay?

everything thats stock gets removed and all but just your Throttebody is left open. Then u put a direct pipe to it with no resonators and shove a filter at the very end. For much more clear pics, go to the pictures section and look at the set up.

Nate's a good guy. Everyone's good in their own ways and also bad in their own ways. By the way, those of you who don't know Nate (I don't either), if it hadn't been for Nate, we wouldn't have our 3GEEZ stickers.

That's what you should always do first. Take a look yourself, don't rely on other people for things that you can easily figure out.

I'll throw out a different spin on smufguy's reply.

Basically pop the hood, everything STOCK that route's, pipes and filters the intake air, EVERYTHING get's removed. You will then attach your cai directly to the throttle body and route your cai into the hole right by the battery to draw cold air from outside of the engine bay.
