Arrow pleaple with civic intakes...i want one

hey, i know theres a fair few of you out there with civic intakes on your 3geez and i was looking at putting one on mine (89' s-i) i hered all you have to do is to cut about 3 inches of it and it should fit on with minimal fuss. could someone please explain the best civic intake to use and how to do it (hhmmmm probably should have checked the how to section first) also how were thew gains that you got?

i dont have a civic intake but i can tell you that mainly an intake is an intake.....i would just go on ebay and buy one off there because you can get them for real cheap......and with most short ram intakes, gains will not be drastic or anything, you will feel alittle better throtle response but other then that......mostly intakes just make alot of noise....and damn do they sound good too!! but go on ebay and buy something like this......youll like the results

Just ordered mine from e-bay friday, will be here in a few days. $39.50 shipped. Not bad seeing how my local import shop could only go down to $60

Yeah, its the best mod IMO that you can do for under $40! You will notice a small difference in throttle responce, and a wee bit more power on the freeway. The best thing about it tho is your engine sounds way cooler especially past 5k rpms! On a scale from 1 to 10, my overall satisfaction after doing this mod was a 10. It is also pretty idiot proof to install.

pretty much any intake will fit with the right bend... intakes are pretty universal... all they are are just a pipe and a filter.

You'll have to cut about 4-5 inches off. Any 92-95 Civic intake will do the job. Well, an intake is an intake. Personally, I think all pipes work the same. The differences are the filters. Based on my experience with a few filters, I'd say the Weapon-R filter is the best.
