My 1985 Accord power

I recently purchased this really clean unmolested 1985 carbureted 1.8 5 speed hatchback an old couple had owned , me and my son decided to take it down a private road of a friends and blow it out, wound it close to redline caught second and it left a 3 foot black mark in the road, I know pushing a 33 year old engine and drivetrain like that and won't do it again but was really taken back by the power Honda was able to get out of this little engine, I had a 1971 Torino with a 351 cleavland although it was an auto wouldnt do that

The cars are a good mix of modest power with light weight. They aren't really built for a lot of burning out, but I guess they'll do it if the conditions are right. Did you pop the clutch? Was it raining?

No, it left the black mark from 1st to 2nd, wouldn't dare pop the clutch on it and the road was dry,
