Installed one of these power steering filters after having remanufactured rack And pinion along with pump installed a few weeks ago, has magnet and screen to catch and metallic debre and particals that may break lose or be in the system, anxious to open it up for cleaning in about 5000 miles and see what's there
I put a filter in mine too. It's a great idea.
