Hella Hid

I am going to be getting a HELLA HID kit for my birthday, and I was wondering what if I need to do something special? I have the matrix H4 headlight that you get off of ebay, but it says on it that it's for h4 bulbs only. So I don't know what eles I need to do.

Yeah all you do is put the H4 bulbs into the H4 conversion kit. Get like Piaa or xenon bulbs though. I had xenon and they were sweet and now I have eurolite and I don't like them too much. The xenon and piaa will give you a pure white headlight that looks badass.

I'm assuming he means the fake HID bulbs. B/c no one make a HID kit for our cars.

socal3rdgen was talking about a sealed beam real HID conversion kit a month ago that was available for our cars, and since 89cordlx says he has the H4 conversion lenses, he can get any H4 real HID conversion kit that's available.

if you are getting real HID from that link than it sounds like you have everything that you need.

xenon is the gas inside the bulb, not a brand name. PIAA or Hella are the most reputable companies.

Fake HID conversion sux...

I have real HID conversion. You can install real HID conversion to any car - it's universal. You just need "converter" to your type lamp.

Heh... now i have bi-xenon HID conversion. You must be understand, what after installation HID to H4 lamp, you lose hi beams.

My parents give me great surprise for this New Year.
HID hi-beam fogs, i not install it yet, but i will do it as soon as possible.

P.S. Bi-xenon systems have only ultra-deluxe cars like Mercedes-Benz SL 500 in top trim, BMW 760iL in top trim etc...

I know this is a somewhat old thread...but I'm just wondering if peeps here know about the REAL HID H4 Dual Beam Conversion kits? All I've seen so far are the 6000k bulbs tho, but they come in single beam or dual beam for H4. Any update on good housings for the TRU HID lights is welcomed.

Dual Beam 6000k HID H4 Conversion Kit:

$509 + whatever it costs for a real kick ass H4 housing.

They are super easy to install...all you do is mount the hardware anywheres you please. I chose inside the fenders so everything in the engine compartment looks stock and itsn't cluttered by wires. Then you plug the bulbs into the units you just mounted, mount the bulbs in the sockets, and plug up the wire commin out of the bulbs into your stock harness....boom DONE!

I was working on a kit not to long ago but i sold them because they were worth some money. It was basically the same as what paul had 2 Hella ballasts that are found in Audi's and other german cars. Then i had real Audi A6 projectors with DS2 bulbs and it was a great setup. The problem is you will loose your high beams and have to extend the H4 housing unless you find a smaller projector. The Bi-xenon projectors are much longer so that is out of the question. However if you get that shield like paul had you dont need the projectors since that will provide some light cutoff so it dont blind people. If you really want a real HID setup i highly recommend using the hella stuff from and Audi or other german car. Its all over ebay but they are not cheap although its really the best setup.

I may still do the conversion later but for now all my money is in my turbo setup.

I know Hella is a great company. I have a hella foglights on my BMW and it is great in quality. Hella makes alot of OEM stuff for german companies which makes they more credible. I will look into HIDs from them soon.

The problem with running them like Juan has is you blind all on coming cars because there is no cutoff to block the high side. This is why i was going to use the A6 projectors that have the cutoff built into them. Josias has this problem to and he even has a tinted lens on the top portion of his housing and they are still incredibly bright.

I just spoke of the Dual Beam ( High and Low Beam ) 6000k REAL HID Setup in the previous post! So why do you guys keep talkin about loosing your high beams?
