Definitely aware of them not being the smoothest, however the vibrations currently shake the dashboard, steering wheel, sunroof shade, etc. at idle in gear quite drastically so I'm trying to mitigate it if possible.
I was able to get my hands on a used front 86-87 engine mount (126k on it) and it is definitely shorter than the one I put in. I don't know the model it came from however, just the year, so is it possible that it too could be incorrect, perhaps from a carby car or something? Or is the short mount definitely the correct one for the 87 LXi?
Also the rear isn't oil filled, its the front one starting in 88 from my understanding.
I should also say that this used mount is definitely more flexible than the new one I put in. It's also slightly torn around the perimeter which has me worried about using it. Any thoughts? I just want the engine to sit right and reduce the vibrations. I'll attach a couple photos below (I removed the mount shrouds to inspect them, they're not missing).
Also just to confirm, there is only one rear mount that was used for the various trims, correct? There aren't different height rear mounts? The engine definitely leans down towards the drivers side so if it's only the front that's to blame then that's great, but I just want to be certain.
