Any reason you're looking for a kit instead of a rebuilt rack?

4 times in 14 years I guess that's not too bad. It's just funny how the original OEM part will last 20 years before anything goes wrong with it .you're lucky to get two years out of remanufactured Parts same with the starters and alternators
Mines got some kinda hitch in it but ill hang onto it as long as I can,i dont trust the rebuilds either.

All of them??? Just the seals on the end? Sounds more like you're using the wrong fluid, or switching fluid or something. If they were hanging up, or grinding or clunking or something, then I would say you're getting bad remans. This doesn't sound like that though.

Guy had my 85 before me had the rack replaced with one from Auto Zone about six months before I purchased the car, after two months of my owning it seals started leaking under boots, Bad so I had to have it replaced again with a remanufured Cardone brand from Auto Zone, all well so far, hope this one stands the test of time
