    Question Engine ground wire

    Hello everyone,

Ever since I got my car, the engine ground wire has been detached from the valve cover and tucked away near the radiator. The question is whether or not I can just simply remove one of the valve cover nuts and put the wire in its proper place? I am afraid of upsetting the seal between the head and VC and ending up with a leak. Is this something that may actually happen or am I just paranoid?

    Thanks in advance.

no it wont mess up the seal just by removing that one, just tighten it back up real good.

    Thanks Mantis,

Quick reply! Heh, gonna probably do it tomorrow then. Can this wire make a difference in how the engine runs? Mine has a very slight miss at idle and I am wondering what can be causing it.
    Thanks again. :super:

don't over tighten the valve cover... you don't want to strip a stud or warp the valve cover.
