Question Question about doing the auto to manual conversion...

    Hi all,

As the title states, I'm doing the conversion from auto to manual. My question is do I need to change the wiring harness coming through the firewall and under the carpet? Or could I just plug in the manual ECU into the existing wiring in the automatic?

From what I remember (keep in mind the only fuel injected a-series I had is a prelude), the ecu doesn't control anything on the transmission. Trans is cable actuated. Only thing ECU really does on these cars is control the fuel, even the distributor is mechanical (vacuum advanced).

Only things you may have to worry about is the wiring for the neutral safety switch I think there is a write-up about it
