I went 4 a cruise da otha day and my 4"stainless muffler broke off. i turned round 2mins l8r and it had been stolen!!! ne ways i have got a hot dog muffler 4 now (soon 2 get a RPS) ne way i thought that i might as well up grade the whole pipe from the flexi pipe to the muffler. what size pipe should i use for the best performance.
Note: I dont need a catalyic converter (i live in New Zealand) and should i still use the stock resonator?
Stock resonator will keep it quieter and you should use 2.25'
don't use the resonator it will waste what ever size pipe you put before it, if you still want to use it move the resonator closer to the flex pipe and extend the new exhaust from there, but changing the position of the resonator may change the tune of the exhaust... or upgrade the resonator to a 2.25" one and stick it in the same place as the old one..
go for 2.25" about 57mm exhaust pipe

could i use the straight through hotdog muffler as the first resonator then use an RPS muffler at the back? or would this be too loud/too quiet
what is the diameter of the hot dog? 2 inch? 2.25 inch?
anyway... use a 2.25 inch hot dog as a reonator inplace of the cat, then run straight pipe to your new muffler

hot dog must be like a cherry bomb...I think you could go that route...
but you may just want to leave the hotdog off for now and try just the RPS. Cuase it will be easier to weld something in later... this way you have a nice length of pipe with minimum welds and less chances for leaks.

Here is a 2.50" flexpipe back exhaust.
I later increased the diameter of the flex pipe to 2.25" and a short segment of the downpipe to 2".

A20A1 i noticed that your pipes are press bent should i go for 2" diameter if I can get bends the same size through?
will i notice a difference in power over stock?
