About three months ago, I asked what kind of custom parts people here were interested in buying. I was able to find alot of good local shops that do all kinds of work and I was hoping they would be able to make stuff for our cars. And with the strong US $ exchange rate, it would work in your guy's favor (since I would be paying in Canadian dollars).
I found one shop that is willing to bore out our throttlebodies and make a new butterfly valve as well. This was one of the things that people were very interested in. I talked to them over the phone and they will do it for sure but they won't know how much it will cost without looking at it. Depending on the jig they have to make and how the throttlebody is designed will determine the price. If they have to make somethng, it'll cost more so doing a group buy would make things cheaper (splitting the costs between all the buyers). Now my question to the guys originally interested is, what would you guys pay to get something like this done?? JG used to charge $250US I think with you sending in your own but last I heard, they don't do it anymore. If it's not very affordable, I'll have to either look somewhere else or try to get them to lower the price by getting a bunch done.
I was also able to find a shop with a good reputation that makes custom kits. Look in the appearance section for info on that.
