    Newbie 88 accord

    Whats up everyone. Im Jamie from texas. Just purchased an 88 accord, not to sure what trim level it is, carbed. Was sitting for a while and hoping to bring it back to life.

    Welcome!!

    DX=hatchback and coupe carbed
    LX=coupe and sedan carbed
    LX-i=top dog fuel injected hatchback, coupe and sedan...unless 1989 model year then top dog is the SE-i coupe and sedan, unfortunately there wasn't an SE-i hatchback although there should've been to commemorate the last year of the "original" Accord.

    Ha, yes thankfully a good ways away. But I guess due to the refineries there people are freaking out a big about a gas shortage. Most fuel stations around town are bone dry now.

    That's a DX, not an LX. LX had power windows, locks, mirrors, & AC standard.

    Plans are mainly to get it reliable. I've ordered a Weber for it. Need to clean it up and paint it. Fix little odds and ends. Corner lights hang out a bit. Inner fender covers.

    That's a DX. The black bumpers are a giveaway before even going to the interior. A good restoration project.

    I think I have that ones twin! Let me know if you do your carb swap. I am interested in doing one myself (If I keep this car)

    I just dont like the idea of losing so much stuff (Cruise control, AC idle boost. etc)
