    Talking My latest project *pics*

Here's my latest project I've done in my car... customizing my tape holder to hold an EQ. Took me at least 10 hours to do it, it was a huuuge pain. It looked like it was going to be easy at first, but then things just started mounting and it got to be a pain quick. I ended up cutting a LOT of the tape holder.

If anyone has any questions on what I did, or want help doing it theirselves, drop me an email, pm, or reply to this thread.

    how did you connected?
Um, I'm not exactly sure what you mean but I can tell you how everything is set up with it:
The EQ has 2 inputs: one for "radio" one for "cd" which just means it has two sets of RCA in's, you can toggle between them on the face of it (there's a button). As of now I have nothing hooked up to the "radio" input, but I might connect my MP3 cd player in the future, if I don't upgrade my head-unit some time soon.
The EQ then has 3 RCA outs: 1 front, 1 rear, and 1 sub. There's a fader on the front to fade front to rear, and there's a variable sub crossover and volume on the front too. I have 3 Stinger 17 foot Hyper's connected to these out's.

I have an Alpine V12 5 channel amp in the trunk that will be pushing 2 or 4 speakers and a sub, but it's cold as hell out and I haven't been able to wire anything because it's been too cold and I don't have a heated garage to work in. Silence sucks

The EQ is a Monitor-1 brand. This is the same as Arc audio, just badged differently... actually, Monitor-1 is a little bit better in build quality than Arc.

well, that is what i thought.
every EQ i look at has only one set of inputts and 3 sets of outputs.
well, he is what my setup will look this summer.
I will use my alpine deck, than i will connect front RCA outputs to first EQ to control the front, than i will use second EQ to control the back speakers. the sub will not go through the EQ, it doesn't need too.
that is the only way i see how to connect on my system.
i just don't like the idea of spliting one RCA inputt into 3 outputts.

Nice custom project. In my opinion though equalizers make the car look very... 80's.

I plan on doing something like that but leaving the door in place to cover it up.

    I do three

Seriously though... if I had taken out the door, it wouldn't have been nearly as cool.

I finally got my car totally wired up today! It was a sultry 35° out so I didn't waste a moment! It looks so cool at night, each knob is lit up with a red LED behind it... open the door and it's cool, close it and no one has any idea it's there
