VIN question

So thanks to another thread, i got curious about www.carfax.com
I went there and they give you a "free VIN check" so i grab my registration and type it in. It tells me i have an 86, 4 dr, carbed, LX. Now my car doesn't have any DX or LX badging but i thought only the DX's didn't have power options. Cuz i don't have power windows/locks. i do have cruise and tilt but i thought those were just factory options for the DX.

Is this report correct or did they just kinda guess for the freebie?

Canadian LX = US DX, so it is correct.

we have the SEi and so does the states

DX=LX in canada
LXi=EXi in canada
LXi hatchback is not availible in Canada
SEi=SEi in canada

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! So when i see a LXi here it was imported from Japan, then to the US and then here?
