Fix my a20? Swap for the efi motor? Or get a new a20?

I just got a new carb on my 1988 accord DX hatchback A20A3 only to find out it knocks from the bottom end mechanic says he saw that the berrings where getting bad and moving or something like that if that the case should I fix it? Or swap to the efi A20a3 of so what would I need to do that's important to know? Or should I pay 650 for another A20a3 with 80k miles and use my new carb on it? I'm tired of being depressed over this matter and stuck in the middle of nowhere I need help!

EFI swap is a tremendous amount of work and expense. Do a rebuild or swap a used engine in, if you can find one.
