    84 Accord Hatch Newbie

Whats up guys, my name’s Gabriel and i’m currently swapping out my stock carb for a weber 38. I’ll be posting some stuff about it once i go through it. Dont really have much time at the moment, so it’ll be sitting for a while. Atleast till mid december (hopefully).

    Re: 84 Accord Hatch Newbie

So i got the carb. I disconnected mostly all of the emissions system. Theres only a few hoses i need to disconnect. One of them goes from the intake manifold to the exhaust manifold, and its aluminum, and its bolted onto the exhaust, and its fuckin’ seized as hell. Ive been spraying it with wd40 everytime i get to work on it, which isnt often (once a week).

Got a new fuel filter, vac caps, and made a egr block off plate at my uncles machine shop. But the holes didnt line up! Im just gonna drill slightly bigger drills through and bolt on with the new gasket. As long as its blocked amiright?

Also pulled out the wiper fluid tank, but still need the solenoids. Might also get a new battery and cv axles. One side is leaking, so might as well start doing everything in pairs. I’ll post some pics of the engine bay as soon as i get a chance (next week probably).

ALSO! Got into a little trim scratchin’ accident with a lifted f350 with 3’ tall tires. She veered off into my lane a little and i couldnt swerve away because we were all going at around the same speed. Wasnt too terrible but it broke my heart. This thing was fucking perfect when i got it! Anyway, see you guys next week🤟🏼
