    Question What is this thing????

On my 88 (carburated) there's a little knob on the left below the steering column and beside the change bin with and arrow on it which points towards the driver. It pulls out, but seems to do nothing??? Does anyone know what thingy does?

it moves your steering wheel up and down pul it out then push it forward and your steeringwheel should be able to move up and down.

Yea that's for the tilt wheel, which DX's did have. Just pull it out and push it down towards your feet (might have to push kinda hard) and that will unlock the wheel. Then just pull it back up to lock it again and it will retract itself

nope, did not work. i just tried it. it is not like a normal tilt thing. i tried to pull it out and move the steering colomn, didn't work. this thing pulls straight out and is sort of like on a metal post. it makes sort a vacuum sound, like it has some suction on it. any other suggestions?

I've had this car for almost 4 years now... and am just now finding out what that little knob does. I've always thought maybe it was some sort of choke or something.
how bout that... i have a tilt steering wheel.
