89 LXi Coupe - San Antonio

This car was on CoPart less than a month ago - listed as dealer only in the auction otherwise I would have bid on it.

    125,000 miles and really clean.

That's a sweet ride. Looks great. I hate when I see these cars on Copart and they would be dealer only and buy them dirt cheap and in less than a week its on Craigslist or eBay for thousands over the real price and they did zero to it than polish, wax , spray tires etc and adds a fake story. Take this 1st gen Accord sedan for example.

Couple weeks prior to being listed again on ebay it was on ebay for I think $1500 if I'm not wrong. Up in Wisconsin. A 5-speed sedan. I woulda picked it up but I have a good collection already and want to give the opportunity to some other classy Honda fan to experience a clean well-maintained 1g. And now I find the same car, a dealer bought and is reselling. Seriously. Like WTF. The picture was too familiar so I google the VIN and the images from ebay pop up. Almost $8,000 is too much considering it was on ebay for a fraction. If I owned that baby I would be pissed AF to find out all the money I missed out on. And I bet that Weber the dealer guy that bought it, isn't even tuned or installed properly

Relatively simple, but the shifter mounting spots are not there for a standard.

I'm from WV so you have to break that down for me, what is a "shifter mounting spot?" I am sorry I am so clueless but I want to learn.

Manual shifter assembly does not bolt into the same location as the what holds the automatic shifter.
The pedal assembly is most likely a straight swap, but you would (might?) have to drill a hole for the clutch cable.
Their is no mount on our trans, so it doesn't matter.
The axles technically a different length, but I really doubt it would cause any issues to keep the automatic ones.

There is bound to have been someone already do this on here. I'm sure a post on it can be found with some digging.

It's all a direct bolt-up. Parts are getting scarce though.
